Tyler State Park tragedy: Missing ranger found dead in Neshaminy Creek
Authorities have recovered the body of 38-year-old Alec Campbell, a Pennsylvania park ranger who went missing Friday while attempting to deploy a buoy in Neshaminy Creek at Tyler State Park. Campbell’s kayak capsized in fast-moving waters intensified by recent storms. Witnesses saw him struggling and dialed 911, prompting a search that ended Sunday when crews located his body. The park had been closed since the incident and is reopening today. Governor Josh Shapiro ordered flags across Commonwealth facilities lowered to half-staff in Campbell’s honor. A resident of Delaware County, Campbell is being remembered for his service and dedication to the state’s natural resources.

Attempted vehicular assault shakes Bensalem
A Bensalem man is facing serious charges after police say he tried multiple times to run over another man with his SUV in what may have been a dispute over a woman. The incident began around 4 p.m. Saturday near Bristol Pike and Red Lion Road when a man reported that a driver — later identified as 66-year-old Jeffrey Santucci — jumped out of a red GMC SUV with a knife before chasing him and then attempting to hit him with the vehicle. Santucci allegedly fled to Philadelphia but quickly returned to the same area and tried again, according to surveillance footage. Bensalem Township Police arrested Santucci and charged him with aggravated assault and related offenses. He was released on $75,000 unsecured bail.

Centennial School Board faces leftist backlash over superintendent choice
Tensions are rising in the Centennial School District as the board prepares to vote tonight on hiring Dr. Abram Lucabaugh as its next superintendent. Lucabaugh, the former Central Bucks superintendent, left that district amid left-wing denunciations last year. Critics cite an ACLU complaint accusing Central Bucks of discriminating against LGBTQ+ students during his leadership, as well as the $700,000 severance he received upon resigning shortly after a shift in board control from Republican to Democratic. Leftists in Warminster have voiced their opposition to his potential hiring, questioning whether Lucabaugh is the right fit for Centennial at this time. The board’s decision is expected later this evening.
