By Mike Warren

The brand-new, state of the art Manto Player Development Center is set to open in nearby Bristol Borough this Saturday February 15th at 10:00 AM. Owned and Operated by former Major Leaguer Jeff Manto, the new facility aims to develop athletes not just in Baseball and Softball, but Soccer, Lacrosse, and Field Hockey as well.

“Your success will start here” said Manto, who knows quite a bit about what it takes to have success at the professional level. The former 9-year MLB Veteran garners 38 total years of experience around the professional ranks in baseball, 16 as a player and 22 more as a coach and Minor League Coordinator. As a Major League coach, he guided Freddy Sanchez to the 2006 National League Batting title with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and Adam Dunn to Comeback Player of the Year in 2012 with the Chicago White Sox.

As a player, Jeff was a member of three World Series teams, the ’93 Philadelphia Phillies, the ’97 Cleveland Indians, and the ’99 New York Yankees. Manto currently shares two American League records, four consecutive home runs in as many at-bats, and five home runs in three days. He was a Minor-League MVP twice, a member of now 10 Hall-of-Fames, and has his number 30 retired by the Buffalo Bisons.

The Manto Player Development Center located at 925 Canal Street in Bristol, is a 3,500 square foot indoor-turf facility that features state of the art technology such as “Trackman” and “Blast Motion” which allows athletes to evaluate their overall performance through advanced data, such as launch angle, exit velocity, pitch velocity, and swing plane.

“You’re getting high powered information, with a Major League explanation” said Manto. “Every day players will get to see me, hear me, hear my message, and learn what it takes to get to the next level. The ability to talk to parents face-to-face every day and give them an honest and true opinion about where their son or daughter stands at all levels.”

From full team workouts and training sessions to individual and private bookings, the Manto Player Development Center offers professional level instruction and top of the line performance analytics for an affordable price. Team training sessions start at just 45 dollars an hour for single batting cage use. Soccer, Lacrosse, and Field Hockey teams can utilize the 44” X 69” astro turf field at just 135 dollars an hour.
