Last week, Bucks County Sheriff Danny Ceisler ended his agency’s partnership with ICE.

This was not a peaceful protest outside a government building. It was an invasion of a private religious service.

The lawlessness in the streets that we see adds to the winter doldrums.

A November visit by DRP led to no discovery of any “new reports of abuse and neglect.”

Ceisler said sixteen deputies in Bucks received expanded immigration authority under former Sheriff Harran, though no immigrants had been detained.

Last January, the district established guidance for administrators in the event of an on-campus interaction with ICE officials.

Ceisler has been quick to criticize federal authorities.

2025 was a “perfect storm” of factors negatively impacting Republican campaigns.

The move fulfills a top campaign promise after Ceisler defeated Republican former Sheriff Fred Harran in November’s election.
