Stolen SUV Crashes Into Levittown Home, Teen Arrested

A 16-year-old male is in custody after allegedly stealing an SUV and crashing it into a home in Levittown’s Stonybrook neighborhood just after midnight Tuesday. Bristol Township Police say the incident began when residents reported multiple teens breaking into vehicles. Officers arrived on scene in time to witness a white SUV fleeing the area, which moments later slammed into the side of a house on the 400 block of Stonybrook Drive. The home suffered significant damage and will require extensive repairs, though no injuries were reported. Police apprehended the 16-year-old driver at the scene, while a search continues for additional suspects. The investigation remains active, and residents are urged to report any related information.

Shapiro, County Officials Brace for Possible End to Federal Consumer Protection

With the future of the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in limbo under legal and political pressure, Governor Josh Shapiro and Bucks County officials are moving to shore up consumer protections at the state and local level. The Trump-era rollback efforts have left federal consumer complaint services in question, prompting action in Harrisburg. Shapiro, flanked by state agency heads, launched a new consumer help hotline—1-866-PACOMPLAINT—and an online portal at pa.gov/consumer, offering an in-state alternative should federal enforcement falter. Bucks County Consumer Protection Director Mike Bannon urged residents to remain proactive and use both local and state resources, including buckscounty.gov, noting that the loss of the CFPB would leave a major gap in oversight.
