Notre Dame secured their ninth victory of the season on their home floor against Nottingham on Thursday night, improving their win-streak to four games heading into a pivotal matchup with West Windsor Plainsboro North on Saturday.
In the victory the Irish were led by junior guard Will Foley with 27 points, marking his ninth game of the year with 20 or more. Right behind Foley was senior captain Charlie Schurr who finished with 18. Notre Dame led by as many as 17 at one point, using transition defense and live ball turnovers to fuel multiple double-digit leads.
In the second half Foley and the Irish took over, especially in the fourth quarter when Wyatt Moore went on to score all seven of his points in the period, pushing the lead back to double digits and reaching the largest margin of the night. Senior guard Miles Rancan was a catalyst for the Irish offense, dishing a couple of beautiful assists to both Moore and Foley down the stretch to finish with a 65-51 win.
With the win Notre Dame improves to 9-6 on the season and now prepare to put their four-game win streak on the line against a 13-2 West Windsor Plainsboro North team Saturday at noon.
