CBSD: Staff supports for pupil services
Dear CBSD Community,
We write to share that Dr. Beverly Cragg has joined our district in an interim leadership role overseeing our Pupil Services Department. Dr. Cragg brings a wealth of experience in special education, including as director of special education at Cheltenham for eight years, and has supported students with a wide range of needs throughout her career. She will play an important role in bolstering our special education program, related services, and student support systems during this time.
We have also allocated internal resources to cover additional human resources and special education needs. Various individuals will step up to support these departments to ensure employee and student services continue without interruption. Experienced staff members are ready and prepared to provide assistance as needed and have been assigned to support specific schools and specialized areas:
- Special Education Supervisors Maria Lichorobiec and Heather Hopkins will support Pine Run
- Special Education Supervisors Ali Cervellero and Dan Bartleson will support Titus
- Special Education Supervisors Shara Smith and Janet Kueny will support Warwick
- Special Education Supervisor Ron Locke will support Jamison
- Dr. Cragg will oversee our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts, Nurses, and Gifted staff
We thank these special education supervisors who have maneuvered their schedules to provide this coverage without sacrificing their attention to existing responsibilities. We know recent developments and adjustments may cause stress and uncertainty for many families. We want to assure everyone that we are giving careful attention to our special education programs to ensure every child receives the services and support they need. Likewise, we are committed to continuing to guide all students to a successful finish to the school year while maintaining open communication, responsiveness, and a focus on creating and sustaining excellent educational experiences.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Dr. Charles Malone
